Filmmaking brings together storytelling, visual composition, sound, lighting, performance, and editing to transform ideas into engaging moving images. Producing effective video content requires both creativity and technical understanding, supported by careful planning throughout each stage of production.
The Filmmaking and Video Production course provides participants with practical knowledge of the complete production process, from pre-production planning and script development to videography, storyboarding, lighting, audio recording, and post-production. Participants explore camera operation, composition, continuity, production scheduling, directing, and the techniques required to translate written concepts into visual sequences.
Throughout the programme, participants apply their learning through practical production activities using cameras, audio and lighting equipment, storyboards, and editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro. The course culminates in a final video project, giving participants the opportunity to bring together their creative and technical skills and present their work for feedback.
