Local Content Management in the Oil and Gas Industry Course in Istanbul

How Local Content Drives Industry Value

Local content in oil and gas is no longer simply a regulatory requirement to be addressed during contracting. It can influence who gets hired, which suppliers participate, how contracts are structured, where capabilities are developed, and ultimately how much lasting value an oil and gas project creates within its host country.

The Local Content Management in the Oil and Gas Industry training course in Istanbul provides a practical approach to managing these expectations while balancing compliance with commercial and operational realities. Across five focused days, you'll explore how local content requirements move from legislation, licences, and petroleum agreements into procurement strategies, supplier development programmes, workforce plans, contracts, KPIs, and reporting systems.

The programme looks beyond compliance alone. You'll examine how operators, contractors, governments, NOCs, IOCs, and local suppliers can work together to develop sustainable domestic capability without losing sight of cost, quality, schedule, or project performance. Through exercises and industry scenarios, you'll also learn how to build a Local Content Management Plan (LCMP) that connects regulatory expectations with measurable execution.
