Counter-Terrorism and National Security Course in Barcelona

Strengthening Prevention, Intelligence Coordination, Crisis Response, and National Resilience

Contemporary national security threats are increasingly complex, interconnected, and adaptive. Effective counter-terrorism therefore requires more than operational response; it depends on prevention, intelligence coordination, legal awareness, institutional preparedness, crisis management, and cooperation across government and civil society.

The Counter-Terrorism and National Security training course provides participants with a structured understanding of terrorism and violent extremism, prevention frameworks, terrorist financing risks, intelligence-led decision-making, multi-agency coordination, crisis response, and national resilience.

Across five days, participants examine contemporary threat environments, emerging risks, legal and ethical considerations, intelligence quality, crisis communication, institutional learning, and strategic readiness, with an emphasis on responsible, proportionate, and coordinated security practice.
