Advanced Course of Facilities Management Course in Barcelona

From Facility Operations to Strategic Asset Performance

Facilities are more than buildings and support services. They directly influence operational continuity, employee experience, safety, cost efficiency, and the long-term performance of an organisation. Effective facilities management therefore requires professionals who can balance maintenance priorities, service quality, resources, compliance, contractors, and costs while keeping facilities aligned with business needs.

The Advanced Facilities Management training course provides a practical and structured approach to managing facilities at a more strategic level. Across five focused days, you'll explore how facilities management strategies are developed, how hard and soft services are coordinated, and how space, people, infrastructure, and resources can be managed for greater operational efficiency.

A major focus of the programme is maintenance and asset reliability. You'll examine maintenance approaches for critical facility systems such as HVAC, lifts and escalators, fire systems, buildings, and IT infrastructure. You'll also work with reliability and failure-analysis concepts including Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF), the Bathtub Failure Model, probability analysis, and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) to support better maintenance decisions.

The programme also connects facilities operationswith the wider commercial and regulatory environment. You'll explore risk management, Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), contractor performance, Service Level Agreements (SLAs), internal customer expectations, and Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) requirements—helping you manage facilities not simply as operational necessities, but as assets that contribute to organisational performance and long-term value.
