Container Terminal Operations and Management Course in Amsterdam

Managing Container Terminals for Safety, Capacity, and Competitive Performance

Container terminals sit at the centre of global trade, connecting vessels, ports, inland transport, warehouses, and international supply chains. Their performance depends on how effectively cargo, equipment, people, yard space, vessel schedules, safety requirements, and technology are coordinated.

The Container Terminal Operations and Management training course provides a practical understanding of the operational and managerial challenges involved in running modern container terminals. Across five days, you'll explore container handling, terminal infrastructure, safety and regulatory compliance, equipment and capacity management, commercial performance, and terminal service agreements.

The programme also looks ahead at automation, tracking technologies, IT systems, and sustainable terminal solutions, helping participants understand how modern terminals can improve throughput, reduce operational errors, and remain competitive as maritime logistics continues to evolve.
