Leadership and Strategic Planning in the Oil and Gas Industry Course in Amsterdam

Translating Energy Strategy into Operational Success

In oil and gas, leadership decisions rarely happen under simple conditions. Leaders operate across capital-intensive projects, complex assets, volatile markets, demanding safety requirements, geopolitical pressures, and increasingly important sustainability expectations. The challenge is not simply to develop a strong strategy; it is to make sound decisions and turn that strategy into disciplined execution.

The Leadership and Strategic Planning in the Oil and Gas Industry training course in Amsterdam brings leadership and strategic thinking together within the realities of the energy sector. Across five focused days, you'll explore how effective leaders influence people, evaluate industry dynamics, establish strategic priorities, allocate resources, manage risk, and translate long-term direction into operational performance.

The programme connects the wider oil and gas value chain—from upstream and midstream to downstream—with the leadership capabilities required to manage uncertainty and change. You'll work with strategic planning tools, performance frameworks, risk considerations, and industry scenarios while exploring how HSE, ESG, digitalisation, and the energy transition are reshaping leadership priorities.
