Museum Management and Curatorship Course in Amsterdam

Where Heritage Preservation Meets the Modern Visitor Experience

Museums are no longer simply places where collections are stored and displayed. They are cultural institutions expected to preserve heritage, support education, engage communities, manage valuable collections responsibly, and create experiences that remain relevant to changing audiences.

The Museum Management and Curatorship training course provides a practical foundation in managing contemporary museums and cultural institutions. Across five days, participants explore museum governance, strategic planning, collection management, preservation, exhibition development, visitor engagement, education, and digital communication.

The programme combines curatorial principles with practical museum management, culminating in a site visit where participants can observe how collection care, exhibition design, operations, and audience engagement come together in a real cultural institution.
